| Lil Dayn Album Review: "Top Of The Draft" (Released 2006) March 2007
Lil Dayn And Big Pooh Cd Top Of The Draft Is Filled With Crunk Laced Beats And A Real Southern Texas Flow. Overall This Album Would Not Be Enough To Keep My Attention ForLonger Than 20 Minutes, Although The Beat Selection For This album is decent, the overall concept of the album consists mainly cars, money, And Balling. There Are A Few Standout Tracks On The Album That Deserve A Little Notoriety. Track 2 Begins With A Catchy Beat And Hook as stated the flows are simplistic but if you are a fan of beats you will like it. I Actually Like The Direction Of Track 8.. The production is very good and it kept my head nodding throughout the song. The Hook Kept me Interested And The Vocals were overshadowed by the production but Big Pooh Came with a very fast bone thugs/twista esque flow that caught me off guard, Track 8 Is A Stand Out. I Also Like track 9 ,Laced By A Roger Troutman influenced vocal on the hook, its one of the contrasting songs on the album that’s a more R&B influenced track. Track 12 Also Stoodout To Me For The Hook And The Beat.. Track 12 Would Be A Song That Would Get Play Early In The Night Of The Club. Overall This CD Is mediocre at best but if you Are a beat lover like myself you may get some entertainment from this track. I Give Lil Dayn And Big Pooh:Top Of The Draft 2 out of 5 stars 2 out of 5 G&E'sReviewed by: DjLeezy | |
